Two leading businesses are joining forces with National Pet Month to help promote responsible pet ownership and encourage pet fans to raise vital funds for UK charities.

Agria Pet Insurance and the Medivet Veterinary Partnership will be primary sponsors for National Pet Month’s 2015 campaign - April 1 to May 4 2015.

“We are absolutely thrilled to announce our new sponsor partners Agria Pet Insurance and Medivet, both highly respected organisations in the pet sector,” says National Pet Month Chairman Michael Bellingham.

“We are really looking forward to working with both sponsors over the next 12 months to promote responsible pet ownership and encourage pet owners around the UK to attend and organise some great events to raise money for their favourite UK pet charities. It’s a fantastic combination and we’re sure thousands of pet fans will join us. Roll on April 1.”

Agria Pet Insurance was established 125 years ago and is one of the world's leading animal insurers. Renowned for long-standing partnerships with the veterinary sector, animal health organisations and charities, Agria’s flexible lifetime policies are designed to meet the varying needs of pets and their owners.

Alastair Cook, Head of Sales and Marketing for Agria Pet Insurance says: “We are absolutely delighted to be supporting National Pet Month 2015. As our animal-loving team will agree, caring for a pet is one of life’s greatest pleasures, and definitely something to appreciate and celebrate.

“At Agria Pet Insurance, we do all we can to support the health and welfare of the cats and dogs so central to our lives and culture in the UK. National Pet Month is the perfect focus to engage people to become even better owners, and most importantly, to help raise money for so many animal charities that desperately need help. April promises to be a lot of fun - we can't wait!"

Medivet has 107 veterinary practices across the UK giving pet owners access to a wealth of facilities and expertise.

Adi Neil, Senior Partner for Medivet says: “At Medivet we’re all really excited to be supporting National Pet Month, 2015. We always strive to treat all our pet patients as if they were members of our own family, so responsible pet ownership is right at the heart of all we do and believe in.

“We will be encouraging all of our 107 practices across England to get involved and promote this fantastic initiative by holding their own events or making appearances at local events. We hope that the passion and expertise of our Medivet colleagues can help to spread the word to owners about making their pets the happiest and healthiest they can be.”
