National Pet Month helps create awareness of the benefits of companion animals and the need to look after them responsibly. Of course, responsible pet ownership means good preventive healthcare, grooming and feeding – and it means fun!

It’s an ideal time for your practice to hold an open day so clients and potential clients have a chance to see what services you have to offer. Or even raise funds for a local charity - after all, National Pet Month can act as a CATalyst for local giving. If you have links with a school, college or a youth group, what better time to focus on pets. Or why not run an event – a show or a fun competition, just to show how much fun people can have with their animals. If you’re involved with a charity, when better for them to try and find forever homes for the animals in their care. Your local press will be interested in what you’re doing for National Pet Month.
