National Pet Month's 25th anniversary year is proving to be a fantastic event for everyone involved and that's down to YOU, our wonderful supporters. Thank you so much.
National Pet Month has been bowled over by the wonderful messages we’ve received on Facebook and Twitter so far. Thank you so much.
The support you have shown us for our 25th anniversary year has been incredible and we are really looking forward to the rest of the campaign as more and more pet fans across the UK help us raise money for UK pet charities and spread the responsible pet ownership message.
We’ve had organisations and individuals from across the country tweeting us messages of support and last week we even got a mention on Channel 4 programme Countdown as presenter Nick Hewer (pictured) opened the popular TV show with news of our campaign.
You can check out the show here http://www.channel4.com/programmes/countdown/4od#3681253
Celebrity supporter actress Lu Corfield (Doctors) sent us a picture of her beloved canine companion Norma (pictured) as she celebrated her sixth birthday which we were able to share with our Facebook and Twitter fans.
And we have had countless pictures of you and your pets helping us to celebrate National Pet Month’s 25th anniversary in style so thank you so much for getting in touch and sharing your stories of life with your pets. We really do appreciate it.
We still have just under two weeks to go with this year’s campaign so if you’re thinking of running an event in aid of a favourite UK pet charity, there is still time.
Simply start by going to our website and registering as a supporter here http://www.nationalpetmonth.org.uk/portal/admin/create-account It’s free and only takes a minute.
By doing this you can then register your fundraising event on our interactive map http://www.nationalpetmonth.org.uk/events/ and help encourage as many people as possible to come along and support you.
Alternatively, check out the map to see if there are any events on in your local area that you can attend. By attending a National Pet Month themed event you could be helping raise cash for a pet charity in need of your help.
So, please, please keep tweeting and Facebooking us. We really do appreciate all your help and support and would love to hear from you.
Together we really can make a difference and help our amazing UK pet charities continue their wonderful work.
